Hello Shanghai! Memories to The Unknown

As summer vacation was coming to an end, my parents decided to take me to Shanghai, China, a city I had never been to before. This five-day trip was special because it wasn't just about having fun; there was also a mission— My Friend's Wedding.

D-DAY

Finally, the day had come! It was time for me to explore the unknown. I boarded the flight to Shanghai feeling joyful and curious. The flight only took about an hour. The airplane landed at the Hongqiao International Airport

Hi, Shanghai! Can't wait to explore it!

As an art enthusiast...

For most tourists, the Oriental Pearl Tower is a must-see attraction. But for me, the Museum of Art Pudong is my top choice. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to visit a special exhibition in collaboration with the Musée d'Orsay. Not only did I watch the masterpieces from Monet and Van Gogh but also took a closer look through the art pieces created by unknown artists from Montmartre. However, I really want to complain about an annoying thing which is the management of the museum wasn't good enough, especially for the crowd control! The exhibition was overcrowded, which lowered the quality of the experience. However, not to mention that point, it was still a very pleasant afternoon in the Museum of Art Pudong!

Just be chill!

I’m the kind of person who loves spending a whole day in art museums and cozy cafés, even while traveling to a new city. But this time, I tried to be a normal tourist! On the third day of the trip, I visited Wukang Road, Jing'an Temple, and The Bund. I immersed myself in the charm of this multicultural city

Here are two fun facts! I didn't walk to those places. However, I was transported by a private car service, and it took me around to those spots. It was so chill to sit in the car and enjoy each location from a different perspective. Of course, I still took lots of pictures to capture these one-of-a-kind memories. However, I forgot to take a picture of Wukang Mansion, but I took a picture of the crowd.

Mission Day—
My friend's Wedding

August 30 was the most important day of my trip—my friend’s wedding! My father brought me to Shanghai for her wedding. My friend is a powerful and successful businesswoman, but she always had dream of being princess. To make that dream come true, she chose Disneyland as her wedding venue. I felt truly honored to be invited to this special day. Thanks to her, I got to attend this amazing wedding and experience what a wedding in China is like. To my surprise, all the guests brought so much energy and joy, making this wedding party even more memorable.

It's time to say goodbye!

Not going to lie! I always have mixed feelings when a trip comes to an end. I'm sad to leave this beautiful city. But I was also glad that, because of this trip, I got to learn more about China and expanded my horizons. Additionally, I experienced my many first-time moments. For example, I visited the Museum of Art Pudong for the first time, attended a wedding in China for the first time, and went on a car tour in Shanghai for the first time. At last, I want to say, "Bye, Shanghai! I will definitely come back someday on my own."
